Like a cross between a slider and a curveball, Slurve merges the philanthropic and corporate worlds, using baseball, humor, and pop culture to raise awareness and provide funding for the arts, education, and important social issues.
Our Foundation
Literature and the arts are a vital part of human culture, providing not only entertainment and social commentary, but inspiring imagination, engendering compassion, and uplifting the spirit. They are indispensable in fostering creativity in young minds, and raising well-rounded, socially conscious future generations. With these principles in mind, The Slurve Foundation seeks to generate a renewed enthusiasm for the arts through the publication of emerging and established artists, support arts education through a series of awards and scholarships in a variety of artistic disciplines, and fund exemplary arts education programs, particularly in underserved communities.
The Slurve Foundation is also interested in social responsibility, publishing articles on important social issues such as education, environmental sustainability, human rights and social justice, and partnering with other socially responsible organizations for special awareness and fundraising campaigns.
Being that a healthy body is just as important as a strong mind, you learn things on the playground you can’t learn in the classroom, and teamwork is essential to our survival, The Slurve Foundation also supports youth baseball programs, ensuring the continued legacy of America’s national pastime.
